AgentAI Acquires One of the Nation's Largest Independent Podiatry Billing Companies
AgentAI, the first agentic AI billing company, today announced the acquisition of a 20+ year-old medical billing company serving hundreds of podiatry practices nationwide — its second acquisition and its largest to date, coming weeks after the company's growth investment co-led by Transformation Capital and EIR Partners.
The acquired company's team processes roughly one million claims a year across routine foot care, wound care, podiatric surgery, and ambulatory surgery center (ASC) billing — a specialty defined by exacting Medicare rules, from Q7/Q8/Q9 class-finding modifiers to date-last-seen requirements, where small documentation errors quietly cost practices thousands per physician per year. The ASC book brings facility-side billing expertise to the platform alongside professional claims.
"Podiatry is exactly where agentic billing proves itself," said Zorik Gordon, CEO of AgentAI. "The claims are high-volume, the rules are unforgiving, and the leaks are invisible until you can see every claim from upload to payment. We're combining this team's two decades of podiatry expertise with agents that read every superbill line, work every denial, and never let a claim go quiet."
The company's veteran podiatry billers will oversee and QA AgentAI's agents, while the agents absorb the repetitive work — data entry, claim submission, status checks, and payment posting. On practices already migrated to the platform, claims go out the same day, typically within seconds of sign-off, with denials actioned in under two days.
"These billers built their reputations over twenty years of doing podiatry right," Gordon added. "We're not replacing them — we're giving them agents. Their expertise goes further, and their practices keep more."
Practices join AgentAI's growing specialty network spanning physical and occupational therapy, podiatry, and multispecialty groups. The company name and terms were not disclosed.
